Light bulbs

We currently have 2 fixtures over the sink with 12v 13w bulbs. What can we replace these with to give more light Thx.

Depends on the base style of the bulb Dick. Our pendant lights had the automotive wedge bulbs, # 921, that is used in other fixtures as well. I took down the fixtures and converted the sockets over to the single center contact bayonet style so that I could use various automotive bulbs as well as a lot of different led designs. The wedge style base is the one where the bulb has two wires that come out of the back in and fold over the flattened glass, one wire on each side. Hate those things. If you do a search on bulbs with your current base style, you will come up with choices in incandescent and led. John

Ours is the single center bayonet type. My concern is how big a bulb can I replace these with.

Use LED and you'll get a lot more light for the same or very little more watts.

Go to the website www.m4products .com. I changed all 52 bulbs in our Big Sky to the Elite series LED bulbs. They carry the exact bulb god your 921 base. Much better.

Good advice from Hobos3. We did the same thing with our 2013 318RE. The Elite series is an excellent replacement and M4 Products is an excellent company to do business with.

But the 921 is a wedge base...bayonet base is like the 1141 auto bulbs, which is perfect for going to led. More choices. Hard part will be figuring out what temp range you both like. For example, the wife is hard to move away from the color of incadescent at around 2700 kelvin. I like more in the upper range...6500k for some things. So we use bulbs at 3200k for some and are slowly changing out. John

M4 LED has these ALPLATE-48-5630-CW Cool White Double Aluminum Plate. They are twice as bright as standard light bulbs. I just got some for my MH. They can be used as screw in or bayonet base. They work great. I got the 4500 degree K. They come in cool white and 6000 degree K also.

You can also look at www.superbrightleds.com for led bulbs. John

I recently put in the 1156 vanity globes in natural white from M4 and they are great. We also used their 921 wedge bulbs over our dining table again in natural white. We really like the brighter look of the natural vs warm white.
