2014 375 flf fireplace question

Anyone who is the manufacturer of the fireplace in the above referenced unit? If it should have a remote control I do not have a remote for it.
Any help appreciated. Keystones only help was to contact a dealer and see what they could find.

You should have a manual for your fireplace and it might tell you if yours has a remote. There should be a sticker on the flap that opens to reveal the controls and that will tell you the model number and serial number...and who makes your unit. John

OK, bought unit used. So far no manual for fireplace. No label and/or any type of identification on the unit short of pulling it out of the housing to see if there is any id (and that isn't going to be easy) or anything on the rear of it to help id the unit. My guess is probably Dimplex as they make many of the fireplaces in these RV units but without any thing further to id it is just guessing. Was hopoing someone had this unit and could help with the ID of the fireplace.

Ours did not have a remote. I'd call dimplex and see what they say.

Not all fireplaces have remotes no matter the manufacturer. It's easy to pull out to look for a model number ... about 4 screws on the outer frame screwed into the wood cabinet

All four of our Montana units had dimplex fireplaces. 2015 was first time we had a remote

Our 2012 - 3402RL has the Dimplex fireplace and came with a remote, we also have a Dimplex fireplace in our S&B and it also has a remote. Sorry cannot help you with the model # of yours but would suspect it is also a Dimplex.

If the fireplace is mounted low to the floor as ours is it would be crazy to try and turn it on and off, you would have to get down on your hands and knees to do so. Some of us old folks who's eyesight is not as good as it once was find it hard to read the writing down there. I remote in this case to me is a must have.

Have a remote and have only used it once or twice. Don't really see a benefit in having it.

As said earlier, if it has a fold down flap door at the bottom, the manufacturers name is right there with printed on directions. You can call keystone customer service with your vin and find out who the manufacturer is. Don't know what else to tell you. John

Still no solution. Bottom door if there is screwed down. Upper panel folds down. Inside on right side are the following controls. Dimmer, rotating control. Flame on/off switch. Low heat on/off switch. High heat on/off switch. Last is the rotating heat control min on top and max on bottom. OK left side first is some type of clear dome, (remote sensor?) then a series of small holes. 7 to be exact. 1st is labeled as fire 2nd is low 3rd is high 4th is 0.5 over H 5th is 1 over H, 6th is 2 over H and 7th is 4 over H. As said above remote if so equipped would make operation much easier. Still not sure it even has remote capability but hoping the dome is for same. I can remove the unit if I absolutely have to but still hoping someone can help. Bought this unit used and most of the manuals etc are with the unit . Was short 1 remote for the TV's and a few manuals including the fireplace if it was there originally. It works well just hoping for the above. Many items on this unit don't match the spec sheet from Montana and/or many items were upgraded. Quite a few things are listed as options but some just don't fit any niche so obviously still looking for help. Hope this helps clarify what I have.....

Oh buy the way Keystones, where I tried first had no further info. Suggested I take it in to a local dealer to see.

Again this is on a 2014 Mountaineer 375 FLF

OK found some limited info and after a web search found the manufacturer of unit. It is a model number BTL-999A-2 Ortech is at least the distributor as best I can tell. Left message and will see if remote is avail for a reasonable price. So far it does not match anything that has been suggested above but that's how we learn. Anyone know anything with this new info.....Again thanks in advance for any/all help.

The operating manual for this fireplace shows both "Manual" and "Remote" operation so one would assume that a remote was built for this fireplace. That does not necessarily mean one is available for it now, not that it was shipped with your unit as they appear to be optional.

Good luck with finding one.
