Nice Job !! When I looked at the pictures I knew you were a craftsman. Sure enough, when looking at your profile "a Machinist" it all came together. You are indeed a perfectionist. Congratulations on an excellent job and a great addition to your unit.
P.S. you are really good at photography as well!

I like your extention, it's the best one I have seen so far, it is the perfect option for my kitchen counter, it will be on my list of things to do to the Monty this year. you never said where you got the brackets at or maybe I missed it .

JT-- I'm heading up your way in about three weeks or so can I stop in and take a look at your extension? Maybe if you come to Nebraska for Paul and Jan, you can do our unit also! Did you purchase a table and cut if off for the extension or did you construct it yourself?

Good Job. My wife and I were just discussing this option, what a great idea. You are a real craftsman.

So, where are you headed?

How long will you be staying there?

Should I bring my own tools?

You need to broaden your experiences and install one of those on an SOB.

KT,
Nice addition. It looks like you could dance on that thing You did an excellent job at matching the finish to your cabinets too.

I feel like one of the persons who cannot see the King's clothes because I am not worthy. I hope you're familiar with the fable.

I also see that KTManiac's three posts on the topic have been edited to "delete". From others' comments I wish I could see what was done.

KTManiac - I hope everything's going well for you.

Appears someone deleted the pics. Any chance of getting them back? Sounds like something I would like to do.
