It helps tremedously in getting a correct answer if you tell us the year and model of your Montana. Plus any description about the symptoms of your problem (i.e. does the fan start? Is there a clicking sound? does it light and then go out?....)
In the mean time there is a generic RV Furnace Troubleshooting.pdf located in the File Section (look at the second, thin, brown ribbon near the top of each page). Here is a link:
https://www.montanaowners.com/forums...?do=file&id=11
Additionally here is a link to the Atwood Furnace Training Manual which may help.

If the air is blowing hot on the outside the furnace is lighting. These RV furnaces are not very efficient and the air coming out of your floor vents won't feel hot, but more just warm. It has to run a while to get all the latent air out of the duct work and allow the warm air to make its way out of the registers. Have a decent thermometer set up in your rig. Note the temp before you fire up the furnace and then check it in thirty minutes. I bet you will see it is warming the rig.

hi you say blowing hot are you sure that it is igniteiing ? or just blowing the ambient temperature air. you should be able to tell if it is Hot coming out the exhaust if it did ignite

If the exterior exhaust is blowing hot air then there should be warm air in the coach. If there isn’t then something else is wrong. I would be checking the ducts to make sure they are properly connected to the furnace. It simply doesn’t make any sense for there to be hot air outside and no warm air inside.
If the exterior is truly blowing hot (not just warm) air then that means that the furnace ignited as it should. When it does you should be able to hear it ignite and be able to tell that it stays lit. If you can confirm that and there’s still no warm air blowing in the rig then there’s definitely another problem

Further info: The duct connecting the furnace to the main duct is behind the wall in the pass thru area. Sometimes the flexible pipe falls off the duct to the main area. So the hot air just blows around underneath the rig.

Could be any number of things. Partially blocked exhaust would be my first guess. Mud dabbers love to build nest in that exhaust port. Carl gave you good info in post #2. Go to the files section and get the trouble shooting guide.

I agree with twidman, isounds like your ductwork has rotted away and has become disconnected from the furnace. I personally would not turn the heat on until you removed the bulkhead in the storage and take a look...

A way to test the duct work is to just turn the fan on without the furnace, but now that I think of it, the fan may be the A/C fan. Can't remember?!?! LOL
