MOC Numbers?

Should we assume that our MOC numbers are an artifact of the legacy system and are no longer available? I

Hmmm, were these numbers based on the ID you got when you joined the site? How did you get the numbers?

I think those numbers were simply sequentially assigned as people joined the forum beginning at number 1.

So we can probably access those numbers but we could have issues moving forward. Do you remember what your number was?

I don't remember my number. It never meant much to me. I suspect those with the really low numbers would be more fond of them.

It looks like these numbers have not changed and we can find a way to display then on the member list per perhaps in a profile field. How were they displayed before?

The MOC number was a field in the member profile. It was displayed in the Name/Avatar/location left pane whenever the member made a posting.

OK - thanks for that info. I think we can come up with a good solution and will take a look at this in the next day or so.

In the past there was a discussion about getting MOC decals with our member number on in. I don't recall the exact reason why, but it was not possible to get such a thing. Since we are "under new management", is something like that possible ?

That's a great thought. We also would love to have an official MOC decal and number.

The hard part about getting numbers on the stickers decals is that they have to be custom printed, one at a time which drives the price up pretty high. We could certainly get new decals made, that's a great idea and we do that on some other communities we work with. It might be a little while before we can get on this though, so please be patient.

Does anybody know how we might be able to get stickers with MOC #s on them? Maybe there is a printer who can do this for us that I don't know about?

At another site I am involved with members make their own via www.makestickers.com.

They settled on an oval of a certain size and each order their own. This is the oval they use: http://www.makestickers.com/customize.aspx?tid=7689 but there are others to be chosen from.

They use the same basic design but customize the top portion to include their names or other info. They make them in a variety of colors and one sticker costs about $10.00

Here's one I just tried out: http://www.makestickers.com/design/1...wpf3mm?SKU=103

Here are some examples of their stickers:

Janet, make stickers looks like a nice option. Can you ask Staple to see if he can make a template that members could use?
