Propane water heater turned on when switch is off
I had an interesting issue with my 2021 294RL today when packing up to go home. We were at a state park with full hook-ups this weekend. Whenever I have full hook-ups I always run my water heater on electric, as I did all this weekend.
When I was draining my tanks, I heard the propane burner fire up on my water heater. I then went in and checked the switch panel, and the electric w/h switch was on and the propane w/h switch was off. I had not removed shore power at this point. I went back out and double checked and the propane burner on the water heater was running, and hot air was coming from the exhaust. The only way I could turn it off was to turn off the propane, which I usually do before traveling anyway.
Am I missing something here? Is there any reason why the propane burner on the w/h should start up when the w/h is running on electric and the propane w/h switch is off?
Thanks, Al
