Over weight, over length

Those that double tow, what not to do.

The tow truck is a 2500HD Chevy, the trailer is a Trilogy 38RL, 41'8" long, weighs 14,853 empty, GVWR is 18,950, the second trailer is a Featherlite 17'6" with 2 scooters and a 1000 Polaris RZR.

What you guys think?

I think he is nuts and illegal. The engine can handle it but truck frame and shocks, springs probably not. Stopping will push that think. Just my opinion but what do I know.

I wouldn't do it anyway, it would have to be a special build 2500's to be speced to do that.

See similar set ups everyday. In fact a good friend of mine has an overtaxed 2500. He won't listen and I am tired of arguing. It's taking toll on our friendship. His wife read up on subject and took my side, taking toll on his marriage. They can well afford a bigger truck, but he refuses, his new GMC is up to the task! His RV weight was 17,894 at the scales. His 2015 GMC 2500 sure is pretty, leather dash, .............

Even if he took the 5th out of the equation he would be illegal in most places as he does not have a fender on the right side of the small trailer, guess he cut a corner too sharp. The setup is illegal and crazy from front to back.

Me thinks he is over "whatever" before he attached the feather lite. Perhaps he figured "in for a penny, in for a pound".

The engine and the tranny will handle it, but he is probably 1800-2000 pound overweigh and real tough on the frame and suspension. Stopping definitely a challenge as well.

I see this all the time.
We were camping on the river in Hill Country last month when two 43' toy haulers pulled in, both being pulled by 3/4 ton trucks.
Scary stuff.
