Duramac Fuel Filter
Has anyone changed their fuel filter on the Duramax by themselves? I had a plugged filter last week that scared the hell out of me!!
I have some extra filters and tools for it. Will probably change it every six months from now on. How do you remove the wif sensor wire from the connector?
Thanks!

Bob, the water sensor connector is located about four inches from the water drain valve towards the front of the engine. It is can be disconnected with one hand; although it may not appear that simple at first!!! I change the fuel filter with every other oil change, which equals about 15,000 miles for the fuel filter.
How many miles did you have on the fuel filter to be clogged?
take care,
Joe

remove the accordian hose from air cleaner to engine..gives you more room to move, 2 clamps and a twist.
