That reminds me of our volunteering stint at Bodega Bay, California a few years ago. When we pulled into the campground all the tents were tied down to the picnic tables. I told Bob, "Oh, this doesn't look good." LOL

We evacuated for Rita a few years ago. We went to Lufkin,TX.m about 150 miles. It is about a 3 hour drive and we did it in 15 hours. Guess where Rita went. Cat 1 right up US 59 through Lufkin. Not fun.

We evacuated for Ike. Went about 90 miles north to a CG in Willis, TX. Guess where Ike went. Right up I-45 through Willis. Not fun.

Yep! Been in some of those winds. Not fun.
