Dollar General To The Rescue

Al and I just took a nice trip through NC, SC, GA and FL. We made it home to NY with no bad weather. We were in Harrisburg, PA on Black Friday. Just needed a few grocery items and was wishing I didn't have to go to a regular Supermarket as we were both very tired. We were getting our diesel when I asked an elderly lady where I could go to get bread, eggs, milk and a few other items. She said "Go next door to The Dollar General, they'll have everything you need." We used to have them in our area and they not really dollar stores. Everything is not $1.00. However, things are reasonably priced and name brands are available. If you are in a strange town, and too tired to shop, and happen by one, stop in. You can buy almost anything you may need from laundry detergent, to over the counter drugs and grocery items. They even sell milk, eggs, cheese and drinking water. Much less hassle than Super Walmart on Black Friday.

Stiles,

I am sold on Awesome as a cleaner. If they asked me for a testimonial it would be there in minutes. Cleaned my cheeta tree spots off my Monty.

TCP,

Glad to know that the DG sells other things. Lots of little towns here in Texas that don't have a big supermarket.

Dollar General doesn't sell Awesome Cleaner. It is sold at Dollar Tree. Dollar General isn't really a Dollar Store. Totally different stores.

Awesome! Spray it on - rinse it off!

Difficult areas may need elbow grease. I have been using it or a few years on motorcycles, and it worked great. Best to dilute it 50/50 except for difficult spots. It will leave streaks if you use to much of it in the bucket, or spray it directly on full strength.

By the way. If you want the TV to look it's best, get some Capt. Richards Best, http://www.captainrichardsbest.com/welcome.htm. It's not cheap at $32 a quart, but it will shine your TV and make it sparkle. No streaks, no swirl marks, no water. Just wipe on - wipe off.

It states that one quart will service 150 motorcycles, so I would guess you could get a few dozen shines on a dually.

Sorry, couchpotatoes, but I personally have purchased Awesome at Dollar General stores in Texas. No mistake this time, although I have made plenty of others.

Just bought a bottle of Awesome at Dollar General here in T or C , NM. We are not familiar with Dollar General although I did see them all over the Midwest. Agree many things are more than a dollar but they certainly have a lot of stuff at good prices. I was amazed when I saw the Awesome and grab it fast as we were out.
Happy trails....................

Good to hear that you can buy Awesome at Dollar General also. That is really Awesome. We buy ours at Dollar Tree and I have looked for it in other stores and haven't found it. I guess we can add that to our list next time we go there!

The point I was trying to make, was that Dollar General has a lot of the same things you would normally stop at the grocery store for. It is convenient for those of us who are not familiar with an area and are looking to just get a few items we need at reasonable prices.

I agree that Awesome is great. We use it for a multitude of things! Nice to know that if you need Awesome and a loaf of bread and some milk and eggs, you can get them all at the same place.
