Dennis, do you know if those are for the new ones coming out or is that the 2007 Classic? If for the new ones, then I'm kinda disappointed. It shows 3500 SRW 4x4 crewcab with gvwr of 9900 and fw tow rating of 14,700. My 2005 F250, same cab and 4x4 has 10,000 gvwr and 15,400 tow rating and gcwr of 23,000. I would think the 1 ton GMC would have higher ratings? I know the Ford is heavier to start with because of the heavy frame and suspension so that may make for some difference. I don't see gcwr for the GMC but I think I read somewhere it will be either 23,000 or 23,500, about the same as the Ford. The 2008 Ford has gvwr of 11,400 (F350), tow rating of 15,700, and gcwr of 23,000 in my cab/bed/4x4 configuration so I figured the GMC would be similar?
I hear there will be some major changes to the Duramax. Not like a new engine like Ford and Dodge but still major changes. I'm also looking to see what those changes are. I'll check that site for that info, too.
Thanks for the link.

That is Classic data...unless it has not changed for the new models. We've talked about this before, and I've looked at both on the lots, the 2500 D/A with a 9200 GVWR has virtually the same cargo capacity as your 10000 GVWR 250 PSD. Your GCWR of 23000 will give you a bit more in that area than the D/A's 22000. Your truck is about 700 to 800 heavier than a comparable D/A.

Steve, I'd not worry about a "new engine" on the Dodge. I'd bet it's just a 5.9 with a larger sleeve and stroked the crank a couple of millimeters. Most of the parts are interchangeable. And they're quieter than mine and Duramax and Powerless Stroke still drown mine with noise. From I've read the new 6 speed auto tranny they're using is tested to 1000 lb. ft. torque.

Steve, this link is the "All New Sierra" specs:
ALL-NEW SIERRA
You can use the Classic link listed previously for comparison...

Steve, did not see an option for a SRW 3500. However, it did let me "build" that in as an option. But at the end displayed a DRW. Might be able to order the SRW, though. Definitely only LB offered, though...
