That came out really nice. These rigs really should come from the factory with a center mounted 3rd brake light. How hard was it to wire up the 3rd brake lights?

It wasn't as difficult as I was expecting. Choose which tail light you want to connect to and remove the lens cover, then the bulb holder/back plate to expose the inner wiring and insulation. Then from inside the living room, open the overhead cabinet door and cut a hole (1.5" to 2" hole saw, or use an oscillating saw tool) into the back of the cabinet wood ONLY. From this hole, push a fish tape down through the insulation to the tail light. Next, fasten your two new wires (Positive and Negative) to the fish tape and pull them up to the cabinet. Pull enough slack to reach the center line of the camper, plus enough to poke out of the back. Next, drill a small hole through the cabinet side walls to pull your wires through. Be sure to keep these holes low inside the cabinet so that they will be hidden.

Next, from the outside, figure out where your third brake is to be mounted and mark it with PENCIL. Measure from the top of your window to this pencil mark. Now go INSIDE and check this measurement from the top of the window going up into your cabinet. If it is still under your cabinet, you need to move the pencil mark and mounting position higher. Once you are sure that your light will line up with somewhere inside the cabinet, you can drill from the OUTSIDE with a long drill bit (18" long because you're going through the fiberglass and then past all the insulation to reach the rear of the cabinet.). Use your fish tape from outside to pull your wires out and make the connection to your 3rd brake light(s). When mounting the light, be sure to put silicone around the hole for the wires and along the top, left side and right side of the light. (Leave the bottom edge unsealed to allow water to fall away.) Return to your tail light, make the connection to the STOP light (positive) and ground wire (negative). Do a light check before closing everything up. I added a strobe module inside the cabinet in-line with the positive wire to the light. ($7 at that "on-line shopping mecca")
