On the Big Sky the air sofa is part of the Big Sky Premium Package and comes standard. I would not be surprised that if in a few years the Air Sofa becomes the norm for sleeper sofas and that the current hide-a-bed sofas with their lumpy mattresses and cross bars in your back disappear from the market. Visit any dealer with a Big Sky on the lot to see one first hand.

We have the new air mattress sofa - it is really neat and love the extra storage - nice deep drawer all the way across the bottom of sofa - haven't slept on it, but have sat on it - should be very comfortable!

Chuck and Suzanne - great news on the bed. I didn't know they were shipping that way yet.
I've got the standard bed, and an air mattress. Going to see if I can somehow marry the two so the bed folds up with the matress in it.

When we ordered the new rig in January, we ordered the new sofa then so we knew it was coming - so far, our driveway camping experience has been great and I am having so much fun stocking the rig and buying all kinds of new stuff for it!

Refocused: Happy to her that you are satisfied with your new sleep sofa. Would like to know the dimension when bed is fully open. Still trying to solve the problem with the 2955 open bed closed exit problem. Would appreciate if you have the time to reply with measurements.
Thank you Jon

Wandering Star - this topic has been discussed on here before. As I remember, the new sofabed is 76 inches from the wall to the foot of the bed when open. On my Mountaineer 342PHT, that leaves just enough room next to the kitchen counter to squeeze by (and I mean SQUEEZE).
A better solution for me was suggested before. Turn the existing sofabed 90 degrees in the slide (so it goes across the trailer) and push it to the end of slide opposite the table/chairs. By moving two of the dining chairs out of the way, the bed will open fully without hitting the table. It leaves plenty of room to get by between the kitchen counter. I put one chair at the end of the table, so three people could sit at the table with the bed opened. This is a great solution! The only downside is you have to move the sofa each night. Since we don't do this very often, this is a good compromise. We're going to get those furniture-moving slides to put under the sofa legs to make moving easier.

RVnut - that's a good idea - we won't be using it as a bed very often - grandkids every once in a while - so that should work and love the idea of using the furniture moving discs -
Wandering Star - unfortunately when it is open you have to crawl over it to get into the kitchen or vice versa
