OFFICAL: Michigan Fall 2019 Rally

2019 Fall Mid-West Montana Rally
Upper Peninsula Michigan
St. Ignace, Michigan
September 19-23,2019
Campground: Tiki RV Campground ($30 & $25) Phone: 906.643.7808

IMPORTANT NOTE: This rally will immediately follow the National Goshen Fall 2019 Montana Rally. Two-day drive to St. Ignace. We recommend Soaring Eagle Casino in Mt. Pleasant, MI as half way.

All attendees are to make their own campground reservation. Cutoff date: August 1, 2019. Make your reservation as soon as possible, there are only 20 sites reserved. Let the RV park know you are with the ‘Montana RV Rally’. Once you make your reservation, please email us your: Name, telephone and email. MORE SPECIFIC INFORMATION COMING later in 2019 to those attendees. Our email: eddieandsandie@fastmail.com. There will be a $20 registration fee, to cover misc. costs and your evening welcoming dinner; a UP Michigan Pasty dinner.

As of now, here are some activities we plan: (Note: all costs are approximate). Costs will vary slightly with 2019 increases/tips). Once you have identified which activities you want to attend, we are asking for payment before you arrive.
• Your first evening, happy hour (bring snacks if you like), and a delightful UP pastie dinner at the campground.
• Boat Trip though the 'SOO' ($30), through the locks at Sault Ste. Marie. Buffet prior, at the Marie Ojibway Hotel overlooking the straits. (famous cinnamon rolls) $15.
• Fish Lunch in Moran, Michigan (white fish)
• Boat to Mackinaw Island ($26)
• Carriage tour of Mackinaw Island ($29)
• Visit to Joann’s Fudge (our favorite)
• World-famous Pink Pony Bar
• High Tea at the Grand Hotel ($58) (330p-500p)
• Drive to Tahquamenon Falls State Park (vehicle fee $8.00)
• Group breakfast and dinner in town
• Evening camp fires/potluck?/Happy Hours
• Possible boat cruise under the Mackinaw Bridge

St. Ignace is a great starting point to explore. Before you come research the area. Across the bridge are Mackinac City, or beautiful Petoskey. Drummond Island and DeTour are nearby. Casinos and golfing. Canada is just 50 minutes to the North, bring your passport.

We wish we could make that, but I still work full time and live in Naples. We have a vacation home on Drummond island and lived in Sault Sainte Marie for 13 years. we know the area very well and have camped just about everywhere there. One of our most favorite camping spots is Muskallonge Lake State Park north of new berry in deer park, its very remote but will accommodate 5vers. We hope many will sign up as it will be a great time.

Am I missing something? A rally that only allows 20 reservations? what happens if the rest of us show up and there's no sites as walk-ins?
