The two products in my post were purchased online. I am not aware of these two products being available at the retail level.

Greetings all. I have a 2009 Montana and just recently noticed the covering on the bottom of the bedroom and kitchen slideout have shattered and cracked. Has anyone else experienced this and how in the world can it be repaired?

Thanks, Ron R

Could I get a little more info from you slide experts. I have a 2002 3295rk and it has Hyd. slides on it. My question is have they stopped installing Hyd. slides on the newer units as you all seem to talk about mechanical slides? Also would like to know if there is someplace in Western Washington to have one of them adjusted?
Thanks for the good info. on slides as it is one of the few moving parts on the 5th wheel that can cause many problems.

Sorry about sidetracking for a minute.
Drifty, some 2002's have cables that are used to extend or retract the slides. Our 2001 2880RK had that setup. What these guys are talking about are the ones that use two beams, with teeth along the bottom and a gearpack to move those beams in and out. I'm not sure which yours has. Our 2003 3295RK had the latter setup.

I've not found them in a retail store, either, but am wondering whether Grainger might have them? They do have SlipPlate, used by many of us with the superglide hitch. I guess I could check their website and then go to one of their retail stores if they do have them.

Steve Reigle, I have the rig with the square tubes with the cables. My problem is the main slide seem to sag a little. I tried to adjust the outside up a little but when I do that and run the slide in it will not close on the bottom. I think I am all the way in with the ram but still have a gap. I am sure there must be a happy medium in there some where as I end up with a 1" gap on the bottom. So I set it back to where it was and I will wait till I can find someone with a little more knowledge about adjusting slide. I would rather have a little sag then have the slide leak when running down the road.
