Shake out weekend
We just got back from a four day shake out weekend with our new Montana. Everything went well from towing to the operation of everything in the RV. I had a single trim piece fall off and no other issues. Coming from a GD Reflection, I am very impressed.
The Reese gooseneck really does improve towing, easy to hook up and zero chucking.

Congratulations on the successful shakedown. I have found the air nailers at the factory are set too deep and blow through the trim (I did the same thing until I backed down the air pressure). A little glue on the back works. Enjoy your new camper.

Did you tow with a standard fifth wheel hitch on your old trailer (Grand Design)? If so, can you tell a notable difference between the Reese goosebox and what you had previously towed with?
Hoping our trailer shows up by May and trying to decide which direction to go on the hitch. I have only had bumper pulls so I have nothing to compare to.

Reese gooseneck VS Standard hitch
Now that I have the Reese, I would not go back to a standard hitch, especially when Keystone puts those Rino boxes on the frame.
Easy hitching
Minimal chucking
Reese has two shocks and an airbag
Bed is clear when not hooked up
Can be hitched or unhitched, even if you are not level or straight

Congrats on a successful maiden voyage! As much as I love my Demco slider I wish I'd done more research prior to the purchase. It's a pain in the rear having to be 100% straight hooking up.

Go with an Anderson hitch. They make them for puck systems and rail systems too Easy to hook up with everything reachable from the tailgate. The only negative is you have to install safety chains as most states require them with a gooseneck type of hitch. No chucking, no binding at the hitch and lets the trailer swivel in all directions. You might even save money when compared to a 25k fifth wheel hitch. I have a Ram puck system and changed from a Companion slider which weighted about 265lbs. and had to use my tractor to install and remove the slider from the bed of the truck. The Anderson weighs 42lbs and with the puck system has three bolts to tighten down the center riser and your done except for hooking up the 5th wheel. After seeing mine my cousin bought one and sold his Curt as he was tired of all the chucking with his Reflection.
