Highpoint Mircrowave - Dead

We have a 2019 Montana with the high end Convection/Microwave. Used it in the morning before driving. Got to new location and No Power Dead! Checked fuse and power to microwave. All Good. Any ideas on what's wrong?

So is there power at the plug where it is plugged in ??? If so I would hazard a guess that the internal slo-blo fuse has blown. You'll have to take it out and take the outside cover off the back, fuse will be inside there somewhere. I've changed several for folks on various manufacturers microwaves in rvs over the years... My suggestion if you have power at the AC outlet

It's probably that internal fuse. We just replaced it with a Sharp from Amazon and went on our way.

Um. maybe a very stupid question, but .... Is the trailer plugged into shore power?

Second? Is the microwave plugged in? Both at the plug and in the back of unit.

Third? Is the breaker in the breaker box popped?

Forth? Does the panel with the buttons display, time, settings or anything, or is everything totally dead.

If all the above checks out ok, and the microwave is still completely dead, then get an extension cord and plug in the microwave into the extension cord and plug the extension cord into another outlet that you KNOW is working. If the microwave is still dead, you know there is an issue with the microwave itself and nothing with the camper. Then you can focus on just the microwave. You also might plug something else into the microwave outlet, just to make sure there really is power there.

Ours died too as have many other folks we know. We tried the fuse first but no luck. I think the brand is just junk. Nearly everyone we have talked to replaced with a Sharp and are very happy. NOTE: you can replace the microwave only with a convection oven/microwave.....

Why do you have to replace the old one with a convection oven/microwave?

Same question. I installed a whirlpool in our rig. Wife did not want a convection. Installed what she wanted. Even able to use the same support bracket in place.
