Ouch

Anyone had this one? The DW went to exit the Monty and a gust of wind caught the door and slammed it in her face. The High Country does not come with a Hold-Open for the entry door. It looks like Keystone intended for the door friction to keep it open. That mostly works but not always, as in this case.

Fortunately she was able to "defend" herself and was not injured. I have just installed a hold-open restrainer like all my other campers have had.

I install magnets on door, same as the compartment door magnets. Holds door open even in the wind.

We had the old fashioned door latch attached outside and hook it on when it's windy.

I bought a latch and installed myself. Friction hinges are worthless

If you have the friction hinges keystone does not put a latch on any of there Rig's I added one any to hold the door open even if it gets windy.

At least our HC came with a hold open. I've never owned any brand RV without one as OEM - including a p'up. Sounds like a forgotten item or anothe 3 buck cost reduction by Keystone
