90 Cents!!!
Gasoline prices keep getting better each week. But with diesel prices not dropping, I noticed the nearest station to me there is 90 cents difference between regular gas and diesel, $2.39 vs $3.29. That is a 37% premium for diesel.
Most other stations are in the range of 85 cent difference. Is that typical of the rest of the country?
I suppose the gap will narrow come spring when heating oil is no longer in demand. But really annoying now.

Take a look at tha GasBuddy app. You can find fuel prices from all over the US and Canada. This is a great app for when you are traveling.

A couple of us were just talking today that we felt the low $3 range was pretty good for home heating oil season and the fraking folks still using diesel by the millions and millions of gallons per month.

Here in the northeast, the difference is between .60 and .70. The best price I've seen for gas is $2.71, diesel, $3.37. Like Dick says, the diesel price isn't bad considering the heating season is upon us.

Just yesterday diesel in our area (central Illinois) dropped to the $3.40 range. It had been staying in the $3.50 - $3.60 range. Gas is now into the $2.50 range. I also expected diesel to fall quicker as gasoline has.

Well folks I would be happy to be paying $3.30 to $3.95 per US gal for diesel. Our price converted to US gal is currently sitting at around $4.94 per gal. The difference in gas and diesel pricing is ranging around $0.68 per gal. A sizable portion of that in Canada is Provincial and Federal tax on each litre of fuel.
At the price of a barrel of crude we are all getting gauged to death by the big oil companies and the Government has no appetite to intervene because of the huge amount of money they make on each litre sold. Ain't life great.....

Sure wish those lower prices would reach us here in Northern Ky. Gas is $2.65 for regular and diesel is $3.54. Agree with commish on GasBuddy, use it all the time. Tim

Two thing are driving the price: home heating oil, and removing the sulfur.

At the FlyingJ near us, gas is $2.00 and diesel $2.95. Good price for diesel but a $0.95 gap from unleaded. Unbelievable!

In So Cal, at Costco, 87 Unleaded is $2.29, at Sam's Club, Diesel is $3.29. But it is still better than the $4.29 I was paying in June!

Just you wait until January all you California people, the new gas tax will be going up 32 cents per gal so the State says, the oil companies say much more about 70 cents per gal. who voted for this increase of taxes for rapid transit, I didn't. so it isn't high YET.....
