LevelUp reset

For those who haven't discovered it or needed it, occasionally I need to do a reset my the LevelUp system. For whatever reason, it gets out of whack. When it does my auto level doesn't work and my two button auto hook up doesn't work and I have to do everything on "manual". You can do everything on manual with a level, but it takes longer.

To reset the system, you want to use "manual" on the control box and get the rig level like you want it. I diddle with it until it is perfectly level. Then go to the control panel and turn the on/off button to off. Push the "front" button 10 times in fairly rapid succession, then push the "rear" button 10 times at the same rate. Then you get a beep and a message telling you that you have Zero set you unit. Push "enter" to accept it and you are done.

This information is near the back pages of your manual.

Sure enough, when I set up today after the reset. Bingo, all the auto stuff was working.

We're having a problem where when we set the level calibration and then re-level we're still off a few degrees. An email to Lippert resulted in suggesting that we remove the two molex connectors to the leveling brain for ten minutes and then, once reinstalled, to go through the calibration process.

We are set up for a couple of weeks so will find out if this has solved our problem on our next move.

Is this a common problem with the LevelUp system? It sounds like a bug in the system and something they would address. I ask because I have considered adding the LevelUp or Bigfoot system to my wish list, but these reports give me some caution.

We have setup over 80 times plus all the times we took it back to the storage space since we put the system on. Never had a problem with the AUTO-LEVEL. We have had it almost two years.

Six months of almost continuous use and no reset here either. Not an issue with anyone I know.

Well, you know me, Carl. I have had to reset three times. I still don't think it is a real big problem. The fix is easy. I posted so if things go haywire on the Level Up you will know what to do. If it never happens, that's great. Mine was one of the early installations, so if it was a bug, perhaps newer versions have dealt with it.

I had to reset mine right after we bought the trailer because when they initially installed it and set it up the technician obviously had a little trouble operating his level while doing left to right. It was about a half bubble off left to right, but I fixed that with a reset. All good since then.
