Just today I set myself up on the recall notification site and saw the notice. Called Keystone and got the all clear. I called them about the axle spindle recall when it came out and was clear of that too. We actually just got back last Wednesday from MorRyde in Elkhart. Had the X-factor installed. I'm wondering what determined which Montanas were covered and which weren't. Maybe the heavier units with 4 or 5 slides. Guess we'll find out if we hear from some MOC'rs that get recalled.

So 2010 model years are OK????
I wonder what manufacturing process was changed that only affected 2011 models ...

I received the letter from Keystone today that our 2011 3750 is in the recall. It specifically states that the 3750 model is in the recall, I don't know about any other models or years.

You might want to read the recall alert again. It does state "certain" 2010-2011 models are involved. Probably safer to call Keystone to double check.

I received the following e-mail from keystone:

After researching the serial number B4701237 you provided to me, it has been determined that this unit is not affected by the recall of question or any other recall. This serial number is clear of any and all recalls. Thank you for taking the time to double check. Thank you!

I tend to agree. There really isn't that much difference spec wise between the majority of the Montana units.

An entire year of manufacturing only affects 576 units!

Montana sells must be doing much worse than any of us thought.

If the recall is limited to the new 3750FL models, then the number of units would be comparable. As I stated previously, our letter specifically stated the 3750 was being recalled. I wonder if the letters are written in a manner that reflects the model that is owned by the letter's recipient. I have not seen any other model owner come forward on the forum that their rig is being recalled???

I called Keystone Customer Service this morning and she told me she isn't familiar with that recall. I gave her our serial number (VIN) and she came back and said there isn't anything about a recall for our 2010 - 3150RL.

I also called Keystone to inquire as to how the cross member was going to be installed. It is to be bolted, so I suppose some holes will need to be drilled through the frame.

we looked at the recall from the NSTB and downloaded the research papers....it appears that only the 3750FL is on the recall list....cannot find any info ref our 3665RE being on the lists...it also appears Montana has made about 5000 various Montana units over the last 2 years or so...576 which are the 5 slide 3750FL's
