Camperless in Ohio

Well the trusty terry TT sold tonight.Couple about our age wanted a TT for a permanent site for a weekend getaway. The Terry TT was just the ticket and they bought it on the spot. Will go to the bank tomorrow and exchange title and $. One step closer to the Montana. We go to the factory Oct 4th and although I gripe a lot about quality my bark is way worse than my bite. What I really want to do is see where all the things are that I MAY have to fix on my own..Like the speaker wires..The sat and TV cables. Noisy water pump, Etc. We will be armed with our trusty Digital Camera and will be able to take pictures while under construction so I will have a idea of where I need to tear things up. Of course I will try to talk them into correcting all those "things" before I buy mine???? The Terry served us well and we look forward to the Montana.

Comgratulations on the sale. I know you will enjoy your Montana. The bad part for us was the time waiting after we sold the old 5'er and the arrival of the Montana. We did not like being without a camper. Hang in there it will be worth the wait. We thought we were in heavan the first night out in the Monty

Rich,
One more step in the road to freedom in a Montana. Keystone has been "working" on their quality and hopefully you will not find too many things that will need attention when you pick up your coach. Enjoy the factory tour.

Let's hope they are building the model you want when you take the tour otherwise some of the components won't be in the same place on other models.

Rich,
I can't imagine waiting that long. We dropped off our old TT in the morning on the way to pick up our Montana from the dealer, AND THAT WAS TOO LONG! Congratulations, we'll look forward to hearing about your tour.

Well remember we are in Good old Northern Ohio. The camping season is effectively over now. The camper would be winterized by Oct 15th. Snow and nasty weather soon after. We would not have been going out again anyhow and we are not yet snowbirds so not having a camper is a moot point.Helen did point out that this will be the first time in over 20 years that we have officially not had a camper.Be assured that we will have a camper by spring..Our big ole driveway does look naked without a camper parked in it....

Congrats Rich! Spring will be here before you know it. Keep in mind that Montana makes running changes through out the year so anything you look at in the next 2 to 6 months can change by the time you are ready to order AND could possibly change again before your rig finally arrives.

Congratulations on your sale. We also sold our '89 Terry TT which we thoroughly used and enjoyed. What a well built trailer! We had it 14 years and it looked like it just came off the showroom floor when we sold it. We enjoy our Mountaineer 5ver even more though. Love at first sight after a long search. Enjoy!

Our Terry was a 96 and built like a tank.Had one spring broke after 9 years..nothing else.Don't think they build them like that anymore..But time marches on and we needed a bigger camper.Montana 3670 is our choice..we are getting a little excited.

Well the hitch was installed in the truck yesterday .Now all we lack is the camper. We could buy it anytime now but it is winter here in Northern, Ohio and we have no use for a camper. We will order with a planned delivery date of Around April 15th.Out first outing is usually over the memorial day weekend. We have a list of "stuff" we need for the fifth wheel, King pin Stabilizer, Wheel Chocks (the between the wheel types)Backup RV cam. Not so much for backing up but as a rear view mirror. Some kind of bike rack Ladder type no doubt.Bedsaver. Plenty of time between now and April 15th to get and pay for all this stuff. The word is out for Xmas gifts.. Helen is counting down to retirement, less than a year to go so we are on course and on time..

Sounds really great, Rich. I do feel sorry for all of you who live up north and have to winterize each year. Once you get your New Montana, you can travel away from all that cold. What a life! Hope Santa is good to you. That's one of the advantages of having a Montana....more ideas for the Christmas list.

Santa is going to have to put on extra raindeer to carry the load to your house.
