Do you play Ladder Golf?

We were introduced to this fun game when we were camping with our grandson. The URL shows a set that you can purchase but we made one out of PVC pipe and drilled our own golf balls. It plays a lot like horseshoes but is lightweight and easy to store since the ladder comes apart. The ladder rungs are two feet across and the side pieces are one foot long. All joints are glued together except the ladder and base come apart for easy storage. It's a great game for RVers. Sometimes it is called Montana golf.

The second url gives rules and instructions on ladder golf and other outdoor yard games.

Yup, have played it. Saw the game in the UP and decided I could do just as you did and built my own for a lost less money using PCV pipe. Built one for our daughter and also our son also. Great game and as you mention very compact. It still doesn't beat 18 holes on the golf course, but is a lot cheaper.

It certainly does seem to be catching on. We've only seen the "homemade ones". It's a lot cheaper than playing on a golf course, unless you've got a membership. And the swing is a little different!

I actually saw about four names for the same game. Some call it Willy ball. It's fun by any name.

I have never heard of this game until I saw it here. Earlier this evening as we were taking a walk around the park we came across a couple playing it. Looks like fun and I do believe I'll be heading for Lowes for some PVC.

This topic was around earlier (in May. Type in blongo in the Search window and it will come up) and there were several replies.

The game goes by several names and you can buy the game for about $40.00, OR you can go to the link below and get plans and rules for FREE!!

http://www.teamdandy.com/projects/dandygolf/

This one is called "Dandy Golf", but I've seen it as Blongo, Bolo Golf, Ladder Golf, Snake Golf. There may be some variances in "rules" but like "Mexican Train", as long as all players agree to the rules, there shouldn't be a problem.
You can also Google these various names and check out the rules. Some sites have balls or "bolos" of various colors you can order.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for link, Bruce. We've had fun playing it here in Nebraska. Sure hate to get beat by someone who has never played it before....like my brother!
