You never know what you may find in the front yard

Living in the country you never know what you may find in the front yard.

Wife and I were going to pick up some new camp chairs.

I had gotten in the car with our Black & White Boston Terrier. She was standing outside the car calling the dog. I just said the dog is in the car. She then exclaimed “What’s that in the yard”. I looked and it did look like another Boston until I got close to it.

At least I didn’t get to close. LOL

Joyce tried to get a possum out of a tree once thinking it was one of our cats. At least it was dark and hard to tell.

Dick, we have many skunk in neighborhood. They come nightly to dig for worms. Few months ago I pulled into driveway after dark. As I stepped out of my truck, I felt the neighbors cat brush my leg! Upon shutting the door, I realized it was a shunk. I stood frozen while it again brush by me and returned into my backyard! I count myself lucky! Lol

On the second day of a 5 day field exercise, one of my young troops got sprayed while in his perimeter foxhole. He got to live with the smell for the remainder of the FTX as did the rest of us.
