I drain from low point, add AF to lines and traps, then about Dec 1 head to TX. Coldest temp minus 25, no problems.

Drain the water heater, open low point drains then use the pump to run antifreeze. Takes just under two gallons. Don't forget the shower and the outside faucet.

I do both. Have been winterizing this way for several years now. Winter temps can dip below 0 here at times. Only takes a few minutes to blow out with air and then 3 gallons of A/F to fill lines and traps. Tim

We've already had -14 f in November. We use the pink and don't have any issues.

I'm with the crowd that does both. Cheap insurance! We sometimes get below zero here.

In my Convenience Center there is a sticker that gives instructions for both methods, so Keystone must approve both methods. I've been told that rigs leave the factory having been winterized by the blow-out method.

My instructions say that you must blow-out the Black Tank Flush with either method, so while the compressor is out, I do all the lines before pumping in the anti-freeze.

There is too much I can forget with the blow-out method by itself, like remembering to run the water pump for 30 seconds after it's dry.

Hope to save some time....I have a 2009 Montana Fifth Wheel....is the hot water bypass valve in the basement of the unit? I'm new to all this so just need to know where these type things are located. I want to use the unit in freezing temps but no need to use the hot water heater. Thanks
