I wonder?????

I Wonder if this might work. Developing a tire mister system to help lower the temperatures on the FW tires on really hot days. nothing elaborate just a small pressure nozzle aimed at the tire tread at about a 120 degree angle from where the tire leave the road. Just another thought on this is to use the grey water from the RV possibly? any thoughts????

David, how 'bout just inflating the tires to 80 psi nitrogen? I think you would have legal issues using grey water to cool 'em with. I know several manufacturers are using nitrogen. Of course, if you have Good Year G-614's, pump 'em up to 110 psi.

Dumping grey water is illegal in some states and most campgrounds, but who knows going down the highway. If heat was the issue, this summer would have been the test, but there haven't been any more posts on tire failure than usual. If you go back and check previous years or other forums from previous years you'll find Marathons have a long history of failures on rigs of our weight even in the cold, although that isn't as common since there aren't as many towing miles racked up in the cold. Still, when the snow birds head south in January you will see the tire issues come up again. I'm no good at attaching stuff here, but if you want to know what the problem really is email me at dqdick10432@yahoo.com and I'll send you and article that's been going around a number of forums for years now that will explain the problem with Marathon tires.

I was just thinking and typing out loud. I know first hand about the Goodyear tire issues. I contacted Goodyear earlier in the week about a set of Marathons that I had installed last month. We will see.
