THE WIND!

I am still at the farm and after the massive thunderstorms moved through the wind moved in. It is gusting from 40-50mph up here in Northwest Oklahoma. The trailer is rocking. This brings me to the JT Strongarm question. Do the stabilizers help with the wind rocking? I know it can't be eliminated but if I am going to be spending a lot of time out here I am going to have to do something. Springtime in Oklahoma is windy.

We found they helped greatly when we had wind. The Monty was quite stable But I can not remember how high the winds where but they where strong enough that you didn't want to let the door or fear off damaging it if it hit the side of the trailer.

I'll be finding out in a couple of months! We are just entering our windy season around Memorial Day.

They help very much with the rocking of the Monty. Just wish they made JT Strongarms for the slideout toppers. We had some 35 to 40 winds last week and we were very stable, however, Julie thought for sure we would find the awnings a couple of miles from here after being torn off and ripped to shreds. But when morning came all was well, giving me more trust and satisfaction with the Monty!!!!!

Our JT's help eliminate the wind sway a lot. As for the wind flapping the slide toppers we now use a piece of 1 inch nylon webbing either weighted or lightly bungeed down. You don't need a lot of tension on it, it just needs to dampen the flap. I only use one on the large topper. I haven't needed them on the smaller slides... Dave and Betsy
