Roof

Hi there, my first post. Was wondering if anyone has ever replaced the whole roof on a 38' Montana Fifth Wheel, or if it is even a possible thing?

Yes you can. Have seen it done a couple of times in our snowbird park. Labor intensive and count on a cost of 8 to 10K. Last summer watched a SOB fiver get a whole new roof, covered by insurance because of manufacturer defect. 12.5K

Thank you for the answers, we may go with the Flex Seal Paint on after watching a bunch of videos.

I just got mine sprayed on by Flex Armor. $189 per foot. They take everything off the roof - A/C, vents, etc. There is a place in Prescott, Texas and several in the southeast. We will see how it works.

Had it done on my 2021 3750FL after storm damaged roof. Make sure repair shop fixes per Keystone specs. Roof on mine was one solid sheet, standard on Montana’s, repair facility did it in 4 sections.

Hi, I did a bit of research due to two claims on my roof that "FLOW" keeps denying.

May I suggest the FLEXARMOR coating? It is really thick and they tell me it comes with a life-time guarantee. The Pasco Washington shop told me that the lifetime warranty is transferable to the new owner in the future.

My insurance company is really testing my patience with both a hail damage claim and now a tear that they refuse to pay to do correctly. Correctly per (4) separate RV Dealers.

Just went thru roof replacement due to a branch dropping on the roof and tearing the membrane.

About 10k for the repair ( thanks for insurance and eternabond tape )

Pay the extra to replace any wear components. All roof vent covers, fridge vent, update to cyclone plumbing vents and replace outer skylight over shower.

The $300 spent on materials will go a long way towards resale or long term enjoyment.

Remember that your tow vehicle or 5r is a lot like being married…

It’s a lot cheaper to show consistent love and a little bit of money for long term happiness

Cheers !

I redid my roof five year ago with liquid rubber it’s still working. Never use a pressure washer on your roof. When I first did it it bubbled up all over but after a few days the bubbles went away.
