Sliding Door
Our sliding door between the living area and bedroom is stuck in the open position. The bottom is sticking out about 1 1/2". Anyway to fix it.

Don: It sounds like either the rear hanger came unfastened (or broke) *OR* the door track itself detached from the ceiling. The door isn't too difficult to remove. Charlie (8.1A) posted a week or so ago about the tool he made to reattach the track.

While standing at the top of the stairs looking into the living area if you look up you will see that the trim board has a couple of screws holding it up. Remove the screws and you can see the track and then assess the problem. Our Mountaineer did this about every other trip.
Possible cause
Track hanging down and may need more screws or even a wood brace 2x2.
Nut backed out. use lock tight or nylock.
Screws backed out of the wood in the top of the door.
Nylon wheels not right.
I hope you can find a permanent fix, we never could for ours.

If you need to put screws into that track and it's very difficult to reach, 8.1al posted some pictures of a tool he made to do just that. I don't recall the name of the post but it was in the past couple of weeks. Good luck. That doesn't sound like much fun.
