Moryde suspension
After attending the 2011 Montana Rally and having our rig weighed, we found the unit to be 200#'s overwight on the drivers side. after 5 years and 30K miles the Moryde suspension block on the 3 slide side has folded in by 1" or 15 deg. Has anyone encountered this on a 3400RL ???

It's hard to believe only 200#s on the one side would make that much difference, especially if we are talking over 3 tons per side on a 3400. As long as the weight ratings are maintained then all components "should" support it for the duration.
My rig is heavier on the drivers' side as well, and in fact, the rear wheel of the rig is about 300 lbs less than all the other wheels (not much weight in the passenger rear corner). I haven't noticed any difference in the suspension or wheels.
That wear difference you post does seem unusual for only 30,000 miles. I wouldn't think 200 lbs would make that much difference in wear unless you were overweight and even then, I don't know for sure.
Are you planning to take the rig to an RV suspension shop for some analysis? What are your plans?

I had similar problems. Had a trailer and frame company do an alignment, then installed a cross brace between the two Mor/Ryde boxes. I have the Mor/Ryde LRE suspension on my 2006-3400RL.
Hopefully this will eliminate the problem.
Have you ever experienced a flat or blowout on either tire on the street side(driver side)? The shifting of the weight can cause the box to move.

Thanks for these replies - the repairs are being done at a Montana dealership because we had it there for an accident repair. Larry asked them to look at the Mor/Ryde box. they talked and they said it needed to be replaced. we did have a tire blow out on that side 2 years ago (those horrible tires that was being installed) what has actually happened is that Mor/Ryde box has bent the frame so that it is 15 deg. inward.

Have your dealer contact Montana and Morryde, this has happened on other units, they may help pay to fix this
