GOING ON THE ROAD

My wife & I will be going on the road for an extended period of time. Six months to a year. We will continue to keep our current home. No intention of selling it.

Is there a site or listing that will help us answer the many questions that we have, such as mail, money, home preparation, etc.

This will be our first extended trip & I know that without help we can't think of everything.
Thanks for any help.

Larry, email me and I will share our long "what to do before we leave home for months" list, it may help.

Enjoy your trip.

Larry,
We use mail service from the Escapees but there are many others out there. We just call and tell them where to send it. We bank with Chase have direct deposit for everything and can deposit checks with my Iphone. I bought a home monitor http://www.homesecuritystore.com/p-1...ter-alarm.aspx
It monitors temp, power and water and will phone me if there is a problem
We just turn the water off, temp to 50,water heater off. Some people drain their pipes and turn the heat off.

Don't be reluctant to ask specific questions here and don't worry about asking too many. What you need to know others need to know. Just ask and we'll do the best we can to give you the answers. X2 with Charlie by the way on Escapee's mail service.

Okay, we've renewed our driver license & 5th-wheel plates.
We're looking at Escapees for our mail situtation.
Also thinking of hiring a local person to check our house once a month.

Anyone have hints of other things to be done before we leave. We will be departing in November after the elections.

Most important, mail forwarding, setting up all bills for automatic payment, and organizing all finances/accounts so you can manage on line.

We're just about finished setting up all of our accounts for payment.
Our banking & other finances are done online.

Thanks Larry P

Don't forget to mark the Quartzsite gathering in January on your calendar
