Cleaning roof/slide roof
Used the liquid Spic-N-Span to clean the roof. Did an OK job, but not great. Still left some footprints and I don't think clean enough. What else have you tried and what were your results?
Also, need to clean slide roofs. Do you use same as rubber roof, or just clean with what you use to clean sides of rig?
And, can you stand on slide roofs? I weigh 225, so I am thinking I would be above limit.

We usually just use dawn or murhpy's soap and it seems to work nicely.
We use the same on the slide roofs
Haven't tried standing on these yet, so good question, hopefully someone will come along and answer that one for us.

I just finished mine today, used Camco Rubber Roof Cleaner, did a great job and is supposed to condition also. Its available at Walmart or any RV dealer.

I cleaned our slide roofs today. With Zip wax & wash. It does great on front & sides. Didn't do as well on roofs. I also stood on the slide roofs. No problem.

I understand at the factory tour during the September rally Coleman Davis climbed up on a slide and stood there, saying it's not problem. We were on a different tour and didn't see that but it's been reported by others so I'm quoting them.

I have been up on the slides and have had no problems and I am a large boy 6' 3" and quit smoking at the end of Jan. so might be a little overweight, also was told by the dealer that they are well built.

I also used Dawn - works fine.
Have youe ever noticed Steve how us ex-smokers are the most vocal when it comes to quitting smoking. Maybe it's a touch of puritan in us - if we can do it anyone can! At least a dozen years without the weed (it was the nth attempt to quit though)

Steve,
We saw Coleman on the slide. He stood there (on the slide) and told us it was built to take it. I do not recall if he said there was an upper weight limit. He said he was 175 and that slide did NOT move when he moved from roof of unit to the slide roof.

Dianancolin, I know what you mean. It took me many tries to finally make it. When someone asks, I tell them that if they don't truly want to quit, don't bother as it won't stick. You have to truly want to quit. That's why it took me so many years to finally make it.

Congratulations to all former smokers. As a retired nurse, I've seen the longterm effects on smokers and am always delighted to hear when someone broke their addiction o this nasty and harmful habit. Okay, I'm off my soapbox. Judy
