Scare Light on / Remote Dead
Okay, the scare light on our 2010 Monty didn't go off when I turned off the inside switch and was still on this morning. Perhaps it came on with the remote? This happened recently, also, and I did get the remote to turn the light off.
This time, the remote seems to be dead . . . dead battery perhaps?
I'm guessing/hoping I can replace the remote battery and then turn off the light.
I'll do an Internet search for replacing the remote battery, but anyone have any suggestions or how or what type of battery the remote uses?
We also have an interior electrical outlet on the living room slide that went dead. No, it's not GCFI. I've called our mobile tech guy to get on his schedule about this.
Thanks! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!
Betty

I don't remember which type of little battery goes in the remote, but I replaced mine rather early on. Just pry the label up on the back and take the hidden little screw out. It's one that's readily available any place that has watch batteries. On the slide the problem is probably in the wiring that extends when the slide goes out.

Betty,
I have a 2010 3455SA & I go through batteries 2-4 times a year. There are 2 small philips screws in my remote, one in the middle (hidden under the label) and one on the end. Be careful in opening the case as there are a few loose parts.
Mine takes an A23 that are generally available at Wallmart and some camera stores. Be cautious as I have been quoted up to $11.00 each. I found the best price on line at http://www.gamainc.com/a23-6/. $5.95 for 6 plus shipping.
Hope that helps.
Ken

Thanks, peeled the label off and got the battery out. Will go try to find one and hopefully this will take care of it!

Interesting that on the 2012 you don't have to peal off the label, Just the two phillips head screws, but it takes the same 12V battery.
I will be looking for a spare as well, thanks for bringing this up.

I had to replace our battery in the remote this fall. It is a 2012 and one screw is hidden behind the label.

Is the outlet that doesn't work linked to another GFCI outlet?

That outlet on my is tied to the GFI Recp. located below the kitchen counter facing the dining area.

Both area lights can be turned on with switches. The " scare light" can only be controlled with remote. Anew battery will probably solve the issue.

I would strongly recommend that you buy an extra battery or two. Depending on where you may travel you may not find them in stock as easily as one would think.
