Bedroom Lighting
Our Mountaineer has the same light fixtures throughout the coach, including the ONE above the bed ( and centered ). When on it's a rather blinding light ,and if you like to read can be TOO BRIGHT, if the DW is reading..I'm blinded on my side of the bed, whats needed a different fixture that directional. Like the overhead light in our F250, each person has a light and a switch.....
Hope this makes sence.....any suggestions ?
Thanks- Rodney

If he makes house calls to California, I have first choice! LOL I love Jim and Sue's lights. I'm trying to figure out how I can do that.
Happy trails................

Why not get an overhead from an F250?

I am looking at the same thing for our 318 BHS. About all that I have found is the light listed in JC Whitneys website. Here is the link.

Center dome light and a spot on each side. Each light has its own switch. This would replace the existing fixture. The other option would be to add reading lights to the right and left of the existing fixture.

we use a low watt light/lamp on the side of the bed that works well.

It seems you could install a little bar of directional lights that are available at Lowe's and Home Depot.

We removed one bulb from each light. Simple fix for us.

Look at these lights we got at CW in Fort Worth TX.
I really like them, a lot prettier and not as bright as originals.

As a reminder the Mountaineer has ONE LIGHT ONLY above the bed.

The lights we put in were sold individually.
You could do just one.
I like them because they don't stick out in to the room like the originals with the shades.

Rodney, check out these lights. I think I am going to order one of these (whichever the d/w wants) to replace the one at the top of the bed. Looks like they are adjustable like the automotive type. http://www.tjtrailers.com/store/product13667.html

The lighting in these campers is, in our opinion, harsh, However replacing some or all of them is low on our priority and spend money list. We may replace the covers with covers that defuse the light a bit better and we have already replaced some bulbs with ones that are less harsh.
