Which Front A/C unit to install ?

When we picked up our new HC 305RL in late 2018 from the dealer, we didn't want the front bedroom A/C unit that came from the factory and received a $1000 credit when they removed it and installed a crank-up vent. I didn't take note of the specs on front A/C unit and now wished I had. We Boondock at high altitudes and have never really needed two A/C units and had limited generator / power capacity for both. Now that we're spending more time in low altitude campgrounds traveling, there is a need for the front A/C unit.

My question is which (specific) A/C front unit was installed by Keystone in 2018 /19 HC's? The existing rear A/C unit is a Dometic ducted 15K BTU with heat pump. We don't need a heat pump unit in front, but would like to keep height down and go with low profile 13K unit that is compatible with our ducted A/C system.

If we had not had the front 13.5K unit installed already from the factory, I would be putting a low profile 15K unit in the front spot, and it would be ducted like the one be we have now. Ours failed while still under warranty and was replaced with the same, so was glad the 15k main A/C was ducted. If one fails, you at least have enough A/C at the other end to get you by until the failed unit is replaced. I think most of the new trailers are now coming with two 15K A/C’s.

I agree with Bob. You'll never be unhappy with extra capacity.
