Replacing weatherstripping

Hello all,

My wife and I have a 2015 Montana 3610RL. In preparation for travel this summer, I need to replace some rubber slide seals and rubber weatherstripping on the slides themselves.

Is there a place to contact, other than the dealer (high cost!) where I can purchase needed seals/weatherstripping?

I have attached pics to show what I’m needing to replace.

Your help is appreciated!

018-338-blk slide-in secondary seal is what I used on my 2014 3402rl. Amazon search will turn up several sellers with different lengths available. Not too bad of a job.

If you go to this link, https://www.trekwood.com/parts-searc...arch-keywords= , you can identify the exact seal or seals that you need and then using that info, you can find the seals needed on Amazon or just order from Trekwood.

If the 2nd pic is under a slide and attached to the wall it may be difficult. I have one that started tearing and I spoke to the dealer. He said it is difficult to replace because the seal is attached to a metal backing and screwed to the wall under the slide. After examination this appears to be the case. So I am living with no wiper seal underneath. Seems to me that when the slide is closed, there is no chance for a leak. When open I can't see how water could get in underneath the slide.

Here's a link to a company that has RV slideout and other rubber parts:

DFB...you have the same rig as ours? Have you replaced any “d” seals or swipe seals? If so, how did it go?

Thanks to everyone that responded. I now can shop to get the best deal on replacement wx stripping.

Thanks!!

Besides Trekwood, there is also Evans RV Supply. I was able to find that they stocked the rubber moldings for Montana 5th Wheels and were more reasonably priced then Trekwood;

I’ve also started replacing all the rubber wipe moldings on my 2016 3160 RL Legacy. Souther California sun , heat and especially smog - plays havoc with the rubber parts on trailers.

My experience with Trekwood is that if you can't identify the item you need from the pictures on their web site, a phone call will connect you with some of the most helpful people I have ever dealt with. They have even had me send pictures of what I wanted to replace so that they could send the correct part.

On our rig, which only has hydraulic slides, the wiper seal is this, https://www.trekwood.com/products/13...lip-On-1225-Bx
And the bulb seal is this, https://www.trekwood.com/products/13...k-Wall-1000-Bx

You should be able to use the seal description to look on Amazon or elsewhere to find the same seal for purchase. The one advantage of purchasing from Trekwood is, they will cut to your total requested length and charge you the price by the foot, where on other sites I’ve seen they have a roll that is precut to a certain length, so if you needed a couple more feet than is on a roll, you would have to order a lot extra to get what is needed.

It's amazing how expensive these are. $6 a foot I need about 60'. I want to do all 3 slides and I may need more than 60'

$3.31 per ft for the wiper seal and $1.48 per ft for the bulb seal that I posted above for our rig at Trekwood. Not sure what seal is $6 per ft.
