Power converter

I’m replacing a bad power converter (has two wires red and black)
The replacement has three wires (red, white and blue)
The blue is filtered but can I abandon it or should I connect
With the red wire? I already have battery power to fuse box.

I would suspect there are instructions with the new unit? It would really help knowing what year and model rig you have, plus what the old converter is and the new one you are trying to replace it with. Anything less, and no one can really guess how to assist you.

76 Revcon so nothing is original. I removed a failed converter/charger and replacing with another that I’ve had laying around but works. The blue wire is to go to the fuse panel I know but panel is already powered from battery. Should I connect the blue wire also to the battery or just abandon it
