Who's the dealer? Have you checked them out? Look in their service yard and ask how many are warranty and for how long.

Just starting my second season in my 17 MHC. I’ve had a couple of minor problems that I fixed myself and, a couple that the dealer took care of. This is my first Montana and, I would do it again.

Yes we did this is are 2nd Montana and are 3rd 5er we have had very good luck I guess you could say! But I fix most all the little thing that we have had problems with. All have been miner. We average about 8 to 10,000 per year so it gets used a lot not just on the week ends.

Yes s Would buy another one Doubthful it will ever happen because of my age. Have had a few minor problems Nothing I have not been able to fix by my self. Some of the problems are minor to some owners and the same same problem is a catrosphe to others. The ones with problems are the ones you hear from. The ones without problems you do not hear much from

We stopped by the dealer in Ringold, wish we lived closer. They were great, no high pressure just a good price. I have no idea about there service, but had folks at the local park tell us good things about them.

We love our 2018 HC 321MK and would buy it all over again. We also have a great dealer, Leach's Camper Sales in Council Bluffs IA. They told me that almost all warranty adjustments are paid for by the dealership as the factories won't cover them. They will only step in if there are major component or structural failures. I came back from our first trip with about 12 little piddling things to fix, and they got the job done and winterized our unit within a week. The dealer is everything and yes, I would definitely buy another Montana next time.

We have had two since 2006 that does not mean we would buy another one. We are not brand loyal and the RV's in the Montana price range are more alike than different. We purchase based upon floor plan and best price.

I had a Montona TT then went to a 2006 Montana 5th wheel. Then went to a 2015 FR Cardinal now back to a Montana 5th Wheel. A lot less problems with the Montana's. Will never by a FR product again.

We had a mobile tech out to our campground when we were on a long trip out west last year. We booked him ahead of time because we know these people are busy. It was just a few minor issues we wanted attended to.

I asked the guy if he found any one brand to be of a better quality than any other brand. His reply was that no, they are all pretty similar as far as that goes. He said it used to be different, but not any more.

Having said that, we do find the Montana to be a better quality than the Crossroads, but we did pay quite a bit more for the Montana than the Crossroads product. I think it also helps if you have knowledgeable people who can service and repair it for you. We are very lucky that not only is there a good dealership in our area (not the one we bought from, by the way), but also an independent repair facility nearby. We bought from a dealer about seven hours drive from here.

Ours is a 343RL High Country and being a '14, most likely makes it a changeover year for many things. There was a suspension problem - too light duty for 12K weight but now fixed for a few bucks and some time. Other then that, it's been virtually problem free.

Would we buy another - probably, but only if it had something other then 4 cable operated slides and a kitchen area without an island but with a full counter

The Mountaineer is the 3rd RV we have bought from Northgate RV, starting with a popup in 1999. Can't complain about the service, I think they've worked on all of them, even the one they didn't sell.

We would seriously consider another Montana, all issues I have handled myself.
But I am also that guy with the independent repair shop.

Thanks for all the replies, this is a great forum. However, we opted for a Solitude. Nothing against the Montana, the Solitude just felt better for us.

We really love our Montana. The only concrete thing I can point to that I wish I had paid more attention to is the carrying capacity, which for the 2012 3150RL is listed at 2,735 lbs. I suspect that this number does not include any of the options that we got, and the big one was a Lippert hydraulic leveling system. We also have a king bed, second AC unit, and a Winegard Traveler Satellite Antenna. I have to be vigilant about any extra weight in the camper and I've turned into the weight nazi. I've heard that 5th wheels constructed with extended stay campers and full timers in mind generally have a lot more carrying capacity. I've also heard they cost more.

We love our 2006 2955 RL, despite some suspension issues. That said, I’m not sure I would buy a new one. The quality of construction seems to have gone downhill on the new ones.

The suspension on these things are the weakest point since we travel a lot we had to go to the IS on both our Montana's.We see little if any difference in quality of construction between our 06 3400 and this 13 34302.

I know most of the components are the same in all brands and it comes down to luck as to how good is the build. And I am sure we have all heard someone bashing whatever brand they have for something most of us would just fix. We have narrowed are search to a solitude 310GK or a Montana 312RL. So for all the Montana owners, would you buy another Montana?
And thanks for a great forum.http://www.montanaowners.com/forums/...lies/thumb.gif
Carl

We bought the Montana 2018 3121RL as soon as they came out got ours with King Bed, Slide Toppers, Solar Prep, it is only 35’ so makes towing easy for our P/T use. We love the setup and layout and Keystone has been great supporting our little issues, finding a dealer that can Service your Keystone right is the biggest issue, but we love ours.

Main reason is we were going with the 3160RL but they discontinued early 2018, so when we saw the layout of the 3121 we were good. The nice part for us is when traveling we can pull in a truck stop and use the bathroom, bed to sleep on, and get the refrigerator so makes traveling easier for the long rides to Florida. We have just about 12,000 miles on ours and it is 15 months old, so far so good and I have been fixing correcting all the little issues. One thing I did was pulled the Progressive Industries 50 amp surge protector from our old unit and installed into the Montana right away so that was easy. We get 36 hours or so on 1/2 battery using the inverter to run the fridge with no issues, as we have 2 Flooded batteries we keep charged at home 100% of the time.

Probably not, but not what you think. I'm 76 YO and have a 2019 Montana HC. It will probably last me until I'm too old to travel. Then, I'll sell the house and move into the unit at a local RV park since I'll be too old to maintain my home.
