Montana 3791RD Heater Help Needed

Hi all,

It is finally chilly enough for us to turn the heater on and I need help. I made up a book of all of my owners manuals, but don't have one for the heater. I don't know how to turn my heater on. I assumed it would turn on from my thermostat, but when I go into the mode, my only options are cool, fan, and off. Am I missing something? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

It would help to know what year rig you have and what thermostat or thermostats you have. I'm going to take a guess that you have one of the newer thermostats and have two of them. If so you are looking at the wrong one. Only one thermostat controls the furnace and that one will also show a furnace mode and if you have it a heat pump mode. Just be sure when you have it in furnace mode that you have the fan set to auto.

Make sure you are in zone 1, I don't think there is a heat mode in 2.

Your missing something. It is in zone 1 as there is only 1 heater. change to zone 1 then press the mode button until you see heat.

And finally, the answer. Our air conditioner went out a couple of months ago and I had an RV Service come out and replace it. I called her and she says that it's something to do with the programming that needs to be reset. She is checking into the problem and is supposed to get back in touch with me. Thanks for your responses, and I am glad that I am not crazy, no heat on that darned thermostat to be found, lol
