Results from Cervical Surgery C-4 thru C-7
Just thought I would put out an update on how I'm doing following the cervical repair, bone transplant, rebuild, and fusion of the above referenced neck vertebra. The operation was on 20 May at the Durham VA performed by a Duke neurosurgery team. I was released on Sunday the 22d and the DW drove me home. Sort of in a fog for the next week as I was on pain meds and muscle relaxers. Got off the pain stuff in about five days and off the relaxers on 3 June. Have to wear the collar till I go back up there on 30 June. Good news is I'm walking better now than I have in the past 20 years and have absolutely no pain in shoulders, elbows, hands or anywhere else I can think of. Just want to thank God for guiding the hands and equipment of the best medical personnel in the world and thank you all for your prayers and encouragement.

That is great news, Tim. Carol had very similar surgery several years ago and the difference in how she felt was remarkable and it looks like your feelings are the same.
