sinister EGR delete kit

Has anyone purchased a EGR delete kit for a 6.0L diesel.I have read many web sites on the problems w/the 03/04 egr valve blowing the head gaskets after they get clogged up. (I know they are only to be used on off road vehicles. Thanks Jack

I have read a few things about the EGR Delete, the cost for the tube and the reprograming the on board computer is not cost effective for me, California has smog inspections for Diesels so putting the Delete on and off isn't worth it for me, along with braking the law of the state modifying the emmission system, also my truck is a 09 and it is still in warintee which would be void if I modify the power train.
I think the biggest problem with carbon build up is poking around driving, I get on the freeway and do a long ( 60 ) mile run at 65 every now and then, I use my exhoust brake most of the time to keep that free of soot and working freely. I asked the service teck to check out my system because I have yet to see a notice of the truck cleaning the system, the reply after was I must be doing something right when driving.
you will hear probably others that have done the delete and those are probably states that dont have smog checks or there truck is no longer in warintee. if you decide to do this do all your homework in $$$ and cents.

TT Iwas going to leave in the EGR valve in so I don't have to redo computer and buy the $385 reprogramer. I'm calling sin. on 2/14 to see if this will keep the check engine light from coming on. Thanks Jack
