Power pack add-on push button for scissors jacks
Has anyone out there used this product, push button stabilization power pack add-on 12volt motor unit.It reads lightweight, high rpm motor kit bolts onto your trailer's existing jacks-no drill or welding.Just add the motors and run the wire to the included switches with 12=volt breakers. This is from JC Whitney.com Would like any feed back.
Thanks

I bought the ones from camping world. Mounted my switches next to my rear jacks to keep from using so much wire. Mine work great, won't lift the Monty but they do just what I need. To me, worth the money and time.

I might mention that you might have to do a little re-enforcement to the jack stands. I have a 2955 and I kept bending mine all the time. I welded a 1 inch angle iron on the sides of the flat irons on the jacks. Solved the problem. I don't have the electric jacks on mine, but I have been thinking about them.. Let us know how yours work...JB

I haven't taken any picture of them yet. I am in N.E. Iowa and there is about 18 inches of snow on the ground. I would have to use the skidloader to get to it, as it is parked outside.....Sorry. Maybe I can explain it a little better... On each jack there are two flat support braces. One brace on the front side and one on the back side. They have a bend or brake on the ends of them that has the bolt hole in them. Take a one inch wide angle that is about 1/4 inch thick and weld it on those flats, the length of them from the bend on one end to the bend on the other end. I think those flats are about 18 inches long. Can't remember..... You will notice that you have to weld it on the right side (outword side) so that the braces have clearence to operate properly. I'll see if I can go out and take some pictures ....JB

Clever idea. I like the video on the camping world site on how to install then and how they work. I currently use my rechargeable drill with a 3/4 socket to lower and raise the jacks and I must also use the jack wrench to snug them up a little bit to prevent movement. I also need the wrench to get the them started, but I can use the drill to quickly complete the retraction. These motors would provide convenience.
Does anyone know how much torque these motors provide in snugging things up or should the jack wrench be used to tighten things up? The convenience of the motors is a definite plus, but I'd have to think about it being worth $270. I have a feeling that a good turn on the wrench will still provide a more stable situation.

I lied to you. I welded 1 in flat steel on instead of 1 inch angle. I'll send you a PM....JB..

I used an 18 volt impact driver to raise and lower mine. Does great plus once I break the lugs on a tire I use it to spin the lug nuts off. I also use it to attach my screw typr chocks
