I DID IT!!!

I drove today with the Montana in tow ... Steve "guilted" me into it. Drove about 47 miles on Interstate 55 ...rest-area-to-rest-area on Interstate 55 ... and he tells me he actually nodded off for a bit while I was driving.

Thanks again to the Keystone Ladies' Driving School, Pam and Jo-Anna!

Congratulations!
If I could nod off that way I would insist on my wife driving some. I get edgy and I really don’t think she wants to try it either. I had her drive once when we had a van and a pull trailer but there is no comparison as to how much better it is to tow a fifth wheel.

Congratulations Vicki!!!!
You never know when a situation will arise where you actually NEED to do the driving. Better you do it now while there is not a necessity for it.

And she did a really good job. The toughest part for me was getting a little shuteye while on this sometimes rough Illinois interstate. They really need to work on that road. Our first 200 miles today were on US highways. Smooth and easy driving. But that interstate....

Anyhow, I'm proud of Vicki. She did great.

Way to go, Vicki! I hope you didn't think Steve deserted you by falling asleep, though. Sharing the driving takes a lot of pressure off, and for me, the result is a few ZZs (that's in the Dodge, though, not the Volvo).

CONGRATULATIONS VICKI! Way to go girl. I am very proud of you and now the next time will be even easier. Aren't you glad now that Steve "guilted" you into it?

I did it once on the way home from a Fall Rally after the great Ladies Driving School. I had to "guilt" Dick into allowing me to tow. He was very nervous at first. I have not been able to get the wheel away from him since, but it's good to know that if I needed to be the one driving I could.

I'm impressed! Way to go gal.. I haven't tried it yet but have my sights on a certain road when we get to Florida. This East Coast is a rat race and not a good place to start.

Great job Vicki! I drove about the same distance as you on the way to the rally. DH had to think it over then decided to let me tow. One thing I learned was you need to brake sooner.
