New vehicle pull offs

Nope, not the tractor type pull offs, but pull offs such as wheels and tires. Check this site. I ran across this the other day while doing research for that "other" thread. Don't know if anyone has had to replace those factory alloys, but they are outrageous in price.

SlickWillie,

Yup, they can be.

Around Labor Day this last year, I bought a set of brand new pull offs at a place in Middlebury, IN called Dick's. They are the alloy wheels which are on the GM 2500 HD trucks. Each wheel had a brand new tire on it that was only on the truck long enough to get it from the assembly line to the truck conversion plant in Elkhart.

My 1 ton had the grey painted steel wheels and the tires were about 75% shot. The steel wheels were chipping, rusting and generally wearing out faster than the rest of the truck.

I got the whole works, wheels, tires (already mounted) and the hub/lug nut covers with the Chevy bow-tie for around 900 bucks. Now, the old Chevy is looking much nicer.
