Timbrens on '08 Super Duty

Have any of you drivers installed the Timbren kit on your '08 Super Duty trucks?
I got the kit and looked under the truck, there is a lower overload bracket that the factory rubber overload 'stop' would hit on, in extreme loading.
I am wondering if this will be in the way with the Timbrens. I would think it would give more contact area for the bottom of the Timbren rubber if it contacted the axle.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
Jim.

I put them on my 2005 last summer, and thats where they're designed to hit. On the bumper stop under the yellow overload. If I recall, there was a picture in the installation instructions. I'm waiting to hook up the camper on my 2008 to see if I need them, but I'm betting I propably will.

Thanks, TLG, I looked at the instructions.... Feel a little foolish, us men usually don't read them, my bad. It is dotted, showing it is on some, not others, I guess. Appreciate your taking the time to help.

Ozz, I didn't have the yellow extended bumb stops on my 02, but they do the same thing on all trucks. I replaced the factory bump stops with the Timbrens and when trucks is loaded, the Timbren contacts the axle. By they way, I liked the your response to the guys on the RV.net forum. They think they know it all over there.

You might want to double check that info, for at least the 2005 and later. The timbrens do not hit the axle. There is a bumper stop above the axle that they are designed to contact.

Most do contact the Axle, on my truck it is the metal bracket.
Yes, I had to bite my tongue, I was pretty steamed at his rude, un-solicited remark. But..we have to play nice.

I guess I'm going to have to change from WAG and SWAG to WOG and SWOG.

WOG = Wild Ozz Guess

Read the manual and it becomes

SWOG - Scientific Wild Ozz Guess.

Sorry Ozz - just couldn't resist. Hope the humor comes through. :-)

You have my permission to use it whenever you like. (Is there a royalty fee with that use?)
