Lazy Susan

Does the 2955 still come with a Lazy Susan our dealer says it doesn't. Now we are getting a big cupboard with nothing in it.

Who knows. Our 3400 came with the bottom part only??? Dealer said that's what they were doing now. We took it out and trashed it...lots more room without it.

We third that.

Took the lazy susan out, only had the one tray. I made an extension to raise it up so we could put things under it, but it still proved to be too much of a pain. So out it came.

The 3400 has always just had the one level of lazy susan. We have used ours since day 1 because we moved it to the other end of the island.
Happy traails...................................

We like our two shelf Lazy Susan and it works fine. On my 2955RL I can access the Lazy Susan from two sets of doors and stuff stays put. There is also room for a few items beside the Lazy Susan.
I guess it is one of those "some love it" ..........."some hate it" things.

The one shelf lazy suzan in the 3400 was of no value to us so we removed it, but we loved the lazy susan in the upper cupboard on our 2955. I'm shocked they removed it.

Our lazy susan still exists, but only because Steve likes it. It is too tall for me to reach; things fall off behind it and I cant get to them. If I had my way, it would be out the door. Ours is two tiered, and it is in the corner cabinet over the sink...

Ours is now out by the curb awaiting town pickup day. It was in rig for 1/2 of last year before it came out and put in man storage (garage). I replaced it with a shelf and added two Home Depot doors to back side of counter.

Mark,

I thought that my wife and I were the only ones that liked ours. She uses it all the time and the only thing we've ever had an issue with was a salt shaker that wasn't closed and tipped over one time. To each his own I guess.

MAC - the 2955 has (had) a great lazy susan and we loved it. The 3400 didn't work out so well, as it is under the sink, has one shelf, and occupies the only space there is for a trash can.

Brad,

You don't have the "way cool" trash can that slides out in the 3400?? Funny the things they change that work so well in one model and they don't carry it over to another.

Nope, no way cool trash can. I guess I'll have to make one. It is an ideal spot as you can reach it from either side of the cupboard.

Does anybody have the part number for the upper shelf and center post for the two tier lazy susan??? Our dealer ordered and now we have two bottom shelves. They also told us they are no longer making the two tier shelves, yet the forum is telling us otherwise. Thanks,
Bingo

The salesman found one they had ordered in and the people never picked it up so we can have it for his cost and of coarse installation so dw is very happy

If the single shelf unit has holes going up high enough on that vertical piece you could just get another shelf like the bottom shelf and install it at the height of your choice. Ours had a pin going through the hole and the shelf sits on the pin. That's also how one would adjust height of the shelf.

In our 2980 the lazy susan WAS a waste of good space.

We have a 2955 RL 2006 - I took the bottom lazy susan shelf off and use only the top one. Have added a wire rack on the bottom and now can store lots more in the cupboard. Only keep plastic items on the top susan in case they fall off.
