Ok if I have more than 10 clients I have to efile or the clients have to file a opout form. Too many of these forms being filed and the IRS will be asking me questions? The reason efile was started is three fold. 1 it saves the IRS money because they don't have to have employees transpose the information from the paper return into their computers. 2 efile reduces the chance of miss transposing that information. 3 filing time is greatly reduced from weeks to hours.
Now let's talk about the US Mail service. With efile Within an hour early I get conformation that both the state and IRS have the return.
By the way I am no fan of the IRS and do battle with them all the time.
