Who We Are

Finally some time to introduce ourselves to the MOC Forum.

In doing so, we would like to thank the members for all the great information you have posted and unselfishly shared. The information helped us make the decision to take the plunge and purchase our first "Monty". Guess we jumped in big out of the gate, we are now the proud owners of a 2012 3455SA Hickory Edition with what seems to be most of the bells and whistles. So far, we are very happy with the rig.

We have previous RV experience with an older SOB Class A and then a couple of Toy Haulers over the past 8 years. We have been very active in off road motor sports for several years. This year, we decided it was time to trim the herd of toys in the garage and travel in style.

We have 2 dogs - Baxter and Bailey - Pembroke Welsh Corgi's who can't wait for us to hit the road. We traveled for 3 months last summer, covering the Western United States, pulling the 40' 5th wheel toy hauler...they were like 2 kids who went to Disneyland everyday.

We are working on our travel plans for the summer...we live in Phoenix, so we are planning to escape the heat . However, not sure if Hot August Nights in Reno or Speed Week on the Salt Flats is really escaping the heat.

Anyway, hope we can be good contributors and meet some of you along the highway of life. A good motto for us..."The Road Goes on Forever....and The Party Never Ends"

Thank you! I noticed you keep a Seattle thermometer on your page...Pete was raised in Renton. I was raised in Portland, so we travel to the NW on a regular basis. Hope we can meet you sometime along the way!

Darcy,
Our daughter and family live in the Seattle area. We try to get up that direction each year (summer) and stay a month or so. Last summer we got to enjoy their drought! If you're going to be up there this summer perhaps we can get together for a visit. As it stands now we'll be there the latter part of June thru July or August. Enjoy that new rig. Dennis

I'll have to say that HAN in August, in Reno, can be quite hot.

Welcome!
