Finally!
It only took fifteen years to convince Bonnie that full timing was for us, Then it only took six more years to sell the stick house. Then another three months of living in a twelve foot living quarters horse trailer while we waited for our unit to be built. Now FINALLY our Montana Big Sky 3700RL is here. We took posession on Monday.
We told the dealership about a month ago that before we would sign for acceptance that we would go through one of the MOC PDI's. We did not specify which one. We actually started through the PDI as the service tech was demonstating all of the systems to us. His "tour" of the unit covered more than 3/4's of the items on the PDI. We covered the rest after he finished his part. There was nothing of any major consequence to be repaired after the PDI.
The service tech went on to mention some pitfalls to watch out for. One was the leveling system. Nothing wrong with the system per se, but some people have tried to level in uneven ground where the jacks have run out of travel. He suggested carrying some wooden blocks. Another was the awning adjustment, watch that you don't lower it to the point that it interferes with the door opening and closing.
After we had accepted, next came the "walletectomy". That took less than 10 minutes. The dealer had removed every warrenty card from the pile of papers and manuals, filled them out and mailed them in for us. They got all of the information to call the South Dakota motor vehicle people to expedite our title and tags. They pointed out and highlighted Keystone's phone number to call to find a dealer if necessary as we travel around the country. They then took an extra step of adding that if we don't get the help we need from either Keystone or another dealer, to give them a call to step in and help.
We shopped several dealers and asked many questions before deciding on where we purchased. We think we made the right decision by choosing Town & Country RV in Clyde, Ohio. By the way they had the best price of all that we looked at. No, they are not paying me to say this, but I do know when I have a good feeling about something.

Congratulations on your new Montana, it sounds as though you found a very good dealer. Are you headed west now to join us at the "Circling of the Montanas" in Quartzsite?

Glad to hear everything worked out for you and you got a good deal you are happy with as well as a good dealer. Sadly, our experience was 180 degrees opposite of yours.
Best of luck!

Congratulations on a great rig and dealer! Sounds very much like my dealer, Northgate RV, Ringgold, GA. And I don't have a financial interest in them either.

Congratulations on your Big Sky. Sounds like your dealer is customer oriented and cares. You don't alway find that.
Wish the two of you many years of happy travels and make some wonderful memories too.
Safe travels....

Congrats, sounds like your well on your way to a new and great lifestyle. Finding the right dealer is very important. When we bought our Monty in Florida last year, we went to the IRA and paid cash for the whole deal. The dealership did NOT know how to handle the paper work. They said, the Bank always does all this for us when they finance. It took us 9 days of nonsense to get everything done, plates on the unit, and everything completed. Needless to say, wouldn't go back there for anything at all in the RV world. Happy Trails, Steve and Susie
