Washer/Dryer

We just ordered our 3400 and are wondering if anyone has put a washer/dryer combo in it. Brand? Who installed? How much can you put in it? How long does it take?

We don't have a 3400 but we have the washer/dryer combo. We got the Haier and just love it. The dealer installed it for us (we bought it and delivered it to the dealer) for around $300 with the drip pan (expensive in my mind) and it works great. I can put 2 queen fitted sheets, some socks and underware in there and it works great.

We have the 3400 and installed a stack unit from Sears. The factory sent me the plans and I cut all of the boards and they fit perfectly. No major problems but you do have to remove the box in the floor of the closet. Heard to many bad stories about the one piece combo units. Love the stack units.

We have been using a vented Splendide combo unit since 1997 with no problems. They don't hold near as much as a regular unit but with just two of us that's not a problem

Okay but isn't there something in that box? We thought it had something to do with the unit. That is why I thought we needed the all in one unit.

Not sure of the model numbers, will get the book out and check, but, it is the Compact model, not the compact portable. The dryer is the 110 volt compact model. They do have a compact 220 version, so make sure the one you get is the 110 volt.
